Everything You Need to Know
About Us
We are a platform dedicated exclusively to cinema and its productions. Our work is rooted in respect, admiration, and a careful, thoughtful look at every story, performance, and achievement that reaches the screen throughout the year. We exist to celebrate cinema, recognize talent, and share a deep passion for the seventh art, viewing audiovisual storytelling as one of the most important forms of cultural expression.
Our Purpose
This space was created to honor works, artists, and careers that contribute to the history of cinema. We follow major cinematic celebrations while also shining a light on films and filmmakers who often go unnoticed by international media or major award bodies. Here, cinema is experienced, discussed, recognized, and applauded. It is the subject of critical appreciation, symbolic recognition, and collective celebration.
The Ceremony
At this time, we do not host a physical or official awards ceremony. We operate as an online celebration focused on the symbolic recognition of talent and artistic works. This is a space dedicated to tribute, visibility, and the preservation of audiovisual memory.
Nature of the Project
This page is not a company, operates on a non-profit basis, and has no financial resources. It is an independent initiative created by a cinema enthusiast, with an exclusively cultural purpose. At present, its objective remains unchanged: to promote films, honor artistic journeys, and strengthen the love for cinema. There is no institutional affiliation with academies, official bodies, corporate events, or formally recognized award organizations.
Origin of the Project
The project began organically as a personal initiative by brazilian journalist Thiago Julio, a cinema enthusiast with a particular passion for the horror genre. The original idea was to create a light, inclusive form of recognition, capable of embracing different cinematic genres.
Our Commitment
We are here simply to share, celebrate, and applaud.
So that more films can reach more people.
So that stories are not forgotten.
And so that cinema continues to be recognized by those who truly love it.

The Categories
These categories are awarded across the following major genres: Action, Animation, Comedy, Drama, Horror, Musical, and Sci-Fi.
In addition, we feature a selection of special categories, ranging from Character of the Year and Best Ensemble Performance to Rising Star and Best Popular Film.
5th Edition
In 2025, with its 5th edition, the project entered a new phase. The initiative began inviting fellow cinema enthusiasts to share their perspectives through a voting process, strengthening the participatory, plural, and collective nature of the celebration.
The proposal is to bring together diverse viewpoints on contemporary cinema, respecting the variety of experiences, backgrounds, and references of each voter.
General Provisions Regarding the Voting Process
-
As this is a virtual platform dedicated to symbolic recognition, there is no requirement or obligation for participants to have watched all listed films. Likewise, we do not operate a platform that hosts all eligible works.
-
Since the beginning of the year, particularly on the Twitter/X platform, several opinion leaders have been identified through organic reach and algorithmic engagement. These include film critics, industry professionals, influencers, and graphic designers active within the cinematic sphere.
-
The majority of the listed films were released between January 1 and December 31 of the current year, either in theaters or on streaming platforms. Works initially screened at official festivals are only considered once they meet one of these criteria.
-
Each category begins with a longlist, containing up to 24 entries, or multiples of six: 12, 18, or 24.
-
The six most-voted entries in each category become the official nominees. This same voting process also determines the winners.
All voters were invited and agreed to participate on a voluntary basis, generously donating their time and attention to the project. We are deeply grateful for this contribution.
The use of “We”
This project was born from the individual initiative of a cinema lover and was carried out in that way for four years. At this moment, the project enters a conscious and challenging new phase marked by the expansion of voices, perspectives, and contributions.
The use of the pronoun “we” reflects this evolution and takes on different dimensions:
-
“we” as lovers of cinema;
-
“we” as a page/platform; and
-
“we” as a film lovers network in formation.
