A young Russian woman travels to Armenia in search of a war veteran, asking him to plant a tree at her father’s grave—he died fighting alongside the man. Haunted by guilt, the veteran is reluctant at first. Still, he joins her on this journey, in a story shaped by painful memories and loss, but also by empathy and hope.
