A teacher, a village and a shocking false accusation

© Rushlake Media

The government sends a teacher to a remote rural region of Botswana with the mission of bringing education to the local residents. However, what appears to be a praiseworthy initiative quickly turns into a nightmare for the teacher.

Determined to drive him out of the area, the locals accuse him of a heinous crime he did not commit. This is the premise of Jewel in the Sand, a drama that explores the limits of justice, community, and survival.

The film is available to stream on Prime Video — depending on your region.
