Two boys, one impossible dream, and a choice that changes everything

Two best friends growing up in harsh conditions in Kabul dream of changing their lives by becoming buzkashi riders — a traditional Afghan sport. While one fights against the destiny set by his family’s professional tradition and the other struggles to survive on the streets, both are desperate to break free from their reality. But the consequences of a single choice end up changing both of their lives forever.
This is the story of Buzkashi Boys, a film that shines a light on a reality rarely explored by mainstream cinema. Still, fair warning: it’s the kind of movie that tends to split audiences.
